As the "home of Yunnan medicine", Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture has 243 families and 1381 species of wild traditional Chinese medicinal materials, such as pseudo-ginseng, gastrodia tuer, poria cocos, schisandra chinensis, roots of veratrum mengtzeanum loes.f., etc., accounting for about 40% of the traditional Chinese medicinal material resources in Yunnan Province and 24% of those in the country.
